The Heart Behind Meche

Hi, I'm Raya (Ray-a), the founder and owner of Meche Studio. I started my sewing journey as a creative outlet a few months after being gifted a sewing machine, and found joy making bags, pouches and accessories. I created Meche Studio in May 2026 as a small business, producing high quality products. These are designed exclusively by me, and made by hand in my studio (my bedroom).

I've always been a believer that handmade products are better than mass produced alternatives. Products made by human hands, with passion, demonstrating a commitement to the art of sewing and creativity. These products not only feel better quality but each is unique and bespoke. It has taken hours of commitment and dedication to hone my skills enough to start Meche. A journey from tangles of thread, making mistakes and to, finally the triumphs you can find on our Meche Studio site.

Today, every Meche product is made because I want to share the gift I was given. When you hold a Meche piece, you're not only holding a product, you're holding the belief that handmade is always best.
